The Cat is FINALLY out of the bag!

We have been very anxious to post some exciting news....and finally we were told we can and not get in trouble for spreading the happy news too early. About a month ago, we found out that Jack is going to have another cousin! Aunt Julie and Uncle Ben are expecting a little bundle of joy this year for Christmas. And when I say for Christmas, I mean LITERALLY for Christmas! Their baby is due on Dec. 24th! So, what a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS it will be....or a VERY MERRY uncomfortable one if Julie is late. Hopefully, she will be like her big sis and be 2 weeks early so we can have that little precious baby (who I am CONVINCED will be a girl, by the way!) at home with us to celebrate Christmas.

Julie and Ben shared the happy news with my parents on Mother's Day. Here are some pics of Chick and Lar finding out about Grandchild #2.

Happy Memorial Day

"Ahhh Will, you are so FUNNY! You crack me up!!!"
"What do you say...how about you and me get outta here!?! I don't know about you, but I have had enough pictures for one day!"

My sweet boy's precious smile.....

The last three Memorial Day weekends have been so special. Two years ago, Jay and I got engaged! Last year we spent Memorial Day back in the Lake of the Ozarks at Tan-Tar-A Resort staying in the same exact rooms from the year before! It was a special reminder of our engagement. Last year at this time, Nance and I were pregnant with Will and Jack. And this year....... well, here they are! And, oh so cute!!!!

This year, we spent Memorial Day in St. Louis. Jack got to see his cousins and we all had a great time as always! After all, what is better than family and 2 adorable babies that could not be cuter even if they tried!?!?!

8 Months Old Today!

Today the Little Man turned 8 months old! I know I say this all of the time, but he is just getting so big....and cuter and cuter too! Speaking about cute, Daddy and Jack have their own special language by "hooting" back and forth at each other. It is so stinking adorable and I hope to get a video of it soon!

Jack started getting his very first tooth on Mother's Day....and today I noticed the second one beginning to pop through as well. I feel like he was born yesterday and he is 8 months. Wow! Seriously, where does the time go?!!?

Today was a very rainy day--not a great start to the weekend. We did not leave the house and sang lots and lots of "Wheels on the Bus." I am still not sure what to do all day with my Little Man when we cannot go outside for a walk. He likes to sing...so, we just went with that.

Anyhow, happy 8 month B-Day to my guy! I hope he had a good day in spike of the rainy weather!

My Very First Mother's Day

Today was my very first Mother's Day. I feel so special and honored to be able to celebrate this wonderful day. I have always heard people say that motherhood and being a parent brings some of the best things life can offer. Until you actually experience it for yourself, I do not think you can truly know what an amazing and rewarding experience it really is. I consider myself the luckiest mommy on this planet. I am absolutely over the moon with my sweet baby boy. These past almost 8 months now have been the best in my entire life. Just looking at Jack can brighten the entire day. I just love him to pieces. I love being his mom.

We also had some other exciting news today. Jack officially started cutting his very first tooth! After several months of wondering when his first tooth arrive, it finally broke through. Every day it is something new. The little man is getting so big and we are just loving every minute of it!

Happy Mother's Day to all of you mommy's out there....especially those that are celebrating this wonderful day for the very first time!

Our Little "Stitch"

When I picked Jack up at the babysitter's house last week, Mrs. Lundy said to me, "You know Erin, Jack is such a little stitch!!! He makes the funniest sounds (he now makes this "hoot" sound) and is just so ticklish! He is just a stitch! " Later that night, I kept thinking to myself that Jack IS such a stitch and that was a perfect noun to describe him. He really cracks us up and has such a little personality for a 7.5 month old! He really lets you know exactly what he wants without even being able to say a word. Jay thinks he is going to have a way with the ladies when he is older. To know Jack is to love him, so he is probably right!!

He is just so sweet and we simply cannot get enough if him. After all, he is such a stitch! HA!
