Ladies and Gentlemen, I Present To You "The Mayor"

Last week, Aunt Katie came up with a new nickname for Jack......"the Mayor." Why is he "the mayor," you may ask? Well, Aunt Katie thinks he walks into every room and acts like he owns it....just as a mayor would. Whether it is the grocery store, a bank, a restaurant, etc., etc., he thinks he owns the place. It is really quite funny!! As I have said many times, my Little Man is quite the character!!!! Never a day goes by without a laugh...or two, or three, or many!!!

Tonight, we went to see the Easter Bunny with Aunt Julie, Baby Adeline, and Granny. Unfortunately, the Bunny and his crew would not allow me to take pics with my camera. His face was absolutely priceless while sitting on the Bunny's lap! But in Jack's defense, the Easter Bunny does look scary, especially to a 18 month old baby! Granny took us out to dinner afterwards and Jack enjoyed lots of fries...so, all was good again!!! Thanks, Granny!

Here is a preview of my little man in his 2010 Easter suit!!! He sported it to see the Easter Bunny tonight. Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you, "the mayor." HA!

Mega Bed Head!!!!

Jack is definitely what you would define as a "wild sleeper." He is truly all over the place, covering virtually every square inch of his crib (or lately our bed!) throughout the night. Thank God for bumper pads or else I would imagine there would be many bumps on his head come the morning! Because he is such a crazy sleeper( in addition to the fact that he desperately needs his Easter haircut), he woke up with a hilarious 'do this afternoon! Talk about some mega bed head on this Little Man!!! It was too funny!

Too Cute For Words

This morning Aunt Julie and Adeline came over to our house for Adeline's 3 month photo shoot. This turned out to be a extraordinarily long shoot since Adeline's mother insisted on 5 outfit changes!!!! Anyhow, between all of these outfit changes, both Jack and Adeline decided they needed a little break. It is not very often that they are both in a very "chill" mood simultaneously. Fortunately, I was in the midst of Adeline's photo shoot, my camera was near during this darling moment. I am so happy I was able to capture Jack and his sweet cousin, Adeline. I think this picture is simply precious.....

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day from our clan to yours!!!! As I often state, I feel very blessed with my wonderful family....so, in all actuality, I feel lucky pretty much every day of the year. But today, I am really enjoying the luck of the Irish and passing on some of the wonderful southside Irish traditions to my Little Man. Thank you so much Granny and Grandpa for taking us to Fox's for the Irish fare. Jack also really enjoyed listening to the Irish singer and watching the amazing Irish dancers! Thank you also for making the delicious corned beef, cabbage, carrots, and potatoes for dinner this week....everything was so yummy! Thank you also to Jen Bewley for passing on this authentic, beautiful Irish sweater for Jack to wear this week. It is gorgeous and we really appreciate it!

Erin Go Braugh! I still really do not know what that means, but growing up, I always thought I was cool because this infamous Irish saying had my name in it!! HA!!!

At Only a Year and a Half, You Simply Have the Most ADORABLE Laugh!

Today, my Little Man is a year and a half!!!!! Yet again on this day every month, I am just amazed at how quickly time flies by. Wasn't my Little Guy born yesterday?!?!! I can't BELIEVE it was 18 months ago!!!! Time, please slow down.....these days are too precious and going by way too quickly for this momma!!!!

Thank you, Jack for being the sunshine in my life. Your sweet smiles and adorable laughs can brighten ANY day. These past 18 months have been the best in my life and I love you more and more as each precious day passes!

Hello Springtime!

Jeez, I feel like I have not posted in forever. I have been so busy editing other people's pictures for my new business, there is just no more time left in the day to do my own! Oh well, I will get to it one of these days.....

Let's see.....what is new? Well, my little man is turning into a chatterbox. He now says "hat," "shoe," and "ball." It is really adorable. He also like to "cut the rug," if you will. We have the musical "fridge farm" on our refrigerator. He pushes the button to play the music and dances when it goes on. He bounces up and down and it makes Jay and I just laugh hysterically. He certainly likes to get his groove on, that is for sure:) As I have said on numerous occasions, he is quite the character!

This week, we have had some beautiful weather which has officially started the spring season of 2010 and ended our winter hibernation! Jack made his way back to one of his favorite places this week....the park!!! He went with his Daddy yesterday and his Mommy today....such a lucky little guy! It was no nice to get outside and play again. It always cracks me up when people break out their shorts and tee shirts at the very first hint of warm weather. There was a group of grade school boys at the park today and judging by their attire, you would have thought it was mid August! Ha--only in Chicago!!!! Not my guy....he still is sporting his winter coat in these photos from this afternoon. He certainly did not need a winter coat, but my philosophy is that it is always better to be a little warm rather than a little cold! Plus, I get a kick out of his winter coat with his attached mittens. It is so cute and I know I will miss it. We are hoping for just one more snow storm of the season so Jack can go sledding once more until next winter, but I doubt we will get it. That is ok....we are certainly enjoying this warm spring air and are looking forward to the summer as well!
