Fun Night in Lake Geneva

Every now and again it is important to take a little break from the normal routine and spend a little family time....after all a little togetherness away from it all reminds us just how lucky we are to have each other!! We are fortunate enough to have had an opportunity to be together for a night at The Cove in Lake Geneva. Mommy gave this gift to Daddy to for his birthday...it was a great way to spend a little time together and enjoy a beautiful fall day away from home. The weather did not necessarily cooperate, but we made the best of a rainy night by spending a little time after dinner in the hotel pool....as you can see Jack was REAL excited to swim. Oh, and thanks to Granny for the new AWESOME goggles. I am not sure he really went underneath the water all the way, but he certainly never took them off...HA!

I'm Officially a Soccer Mom!!!

Ever since I had a baby boy, a part of me has been so excited to take him to his first soccer practice. Well, today the 3 year wait has been put to an end! Jack attended his very first soccer practice at the Oak Lawn Pavillion this afternoon. He is part of the 2011 fall Rugrats Soccer program. Watching him "play" soccer is seriously so much fun. He is just darling and again I feel oh so fortunate to participate in this very important milestone of my dear little 3 year old's life:)

Here are some shots from Jack's very first Rugrats soccer practice. Every day, I ask tell Jack, "Please don't grow up." And his response is "But Mom, I gotta go up." And he is right.....these soccer photos are yet another reminder just how big my baby boy is getting!!

3 years ago today, I met the sweetest, spunkiest, most HILARIOUS, and truly wonderful little man ever to have been born. He immediately stole my heart and has not given it back since:) Happy birthday, Jack Brennan!! Mommy and Daddy love you to pieces!!!

A ROCKIN' Good Time!!

Today, we celebrated Jack's 3rd birthday party!!! I am honestly in complete disbelief as I write this...how could this "baby" of ours possible be 3 years old already!?!?! Wow. Time certainly flies and I am beyond lucky to spend so many of these precious moments with one of the sweetest little boys ever to have been born.

As you can tell from these photos, we rocked out for the Little Man's party. He ABSOLUTELY LOVES his guitars (yes, that would be plural because he has 2 of them!!)...so, a guitar theme for the party was the obvious choice this year:) We had guitar doorway decorations, guitar sunglasses, and best of all, a beloved "tar" cake. Jack and Mommy even jammed out during the party, playing our guitars to Jack's very own personalized b-day song. What a fun day and party it was!!! The very best thing about this party was watching Jack firsthand have so much fun...that reality in and of itself made this party such a success:) Mission accomplished--hooray!!

Thanks to the family members who helped join in on Jack's 3rd Birthday festivities/Harrison's Christening party. The party would not have been as much fun without you there to help celebrate with us! You sure did help us have a ROCKIN' good time!!!!
