We Are Thankful

We are thankful and blessed absolutely every day of our lives for our health and our family. And quite frankly so, SO MUCH more. We are thankful for so much that I simply cannot list everything. As I said, we are beyond blessed throughout our lives in so many ways. That said, Jack WAS able to list what he is most thankful for this year....and here it goes:

Mommy
Daddy
Mikey
Ralphie
Kermit
Blueberries
Milk
"Tar" (guitar)
Cookie Monster puzzle
Cake Pops
Bagels
My Reindeer Sheets
My Reindeer and Santa 'Jamas
Mikey's Birthday Party

God love little boys!!! There is SIMPLY not much better in life than little boys.....and little boys are certainly what this very grateful mommy is most grateful for this year!

Thanks so much for Grandma and Grandpa Heidemann for having us all at their house for Thanksgiving. As always, it was great to see everyone and all of the food was simply scrumptious!!!

Here are some of the highlights of our 2011 Thanksgiving weekend. And there is absolutely not a photo of me backing into Rich and Nance's mini van since that is CLEARLY NOT a highlight of this trip! I hope to look back on my little incident (after the body damage on the van is fixed, of course!) and just laugh at the whole thing. But for now, I am still BEYOND angry with myself about being so careless....ugh.

Fall Festival

This is the second annual Fall Festival at Sandbox Pre-School that the Heidemann family has participated in. This year BOTH boys had a role. This year, Jay and I were the extremely proud parents of one little Indian as well as one little Pilgrim. I am sure I was labeled as one of "those" moms in the audience waving profusely at Jack while he was performing, but I couldn't help it. The Teeny Three Room's rendition of "Where is Turkey, Where Is Turkey?," was simply too cute for words!

Trial Run

Today is "School Picture Day" at Sandbox!!! Lately, Jack has really been making some funny faces when asked to smile on command....so, we had a quick impromptu trial run before heading off to school this morning. These photos represent some options of what we may end up with for the official school photo:) God only knows what type of "smile" the school photographer might get out of him.....I am anxious to see!!!

Festival of Lights

This is the second year in a row that we packed up the boys and went downtown for the Festival of Lights. Surprisingly this late into Nov., we had beautiful weather....so what a bonus!!! The little man was simply delighted to see his beloved Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Chip and Dale, Kermit the Frog, Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, and best of all......the big man in himself......SANTA CLAUS!!!

There are not many things that are better in life other than family and Christmas. And the lighting of Michigan Avenue in nothing short of magical! Oh, and delicious pizza followed by the parade just topped off an already wonderful evening!!!!

Mikey Being....Well, Mikey!!!

I decided to take a few moments this morning to take a few photos of Mikey being Mikey:) And of course, I am so glad he is everything he is because I would have it no other way!!!! Man oh man, do I adore this little guy!!!! He was doing what he does best these days....playing, and playing...and playing some more!

I know I will look back one day and miss these days...when his only goal is to just be happy and play with his brother and toys:)
