Last Brewers Game of the Season

And just like that, the 2012 Oak Lawn T-Ball League is over!  I can't believe I went to the last Brewers game of the season today.  The season just flew by!  But boy, oh boy was it fun!  Jack had a blast and just learned so much!

Here are some photos of the very last game of the season this afternoon.  It was a scorcher outside, but that did not stop many of the loyal fans from attending.  Poor Mikey was dripping sweat, but the concession stand was nearby and he is one of their best customers!  It was so nice to have Daddy there for Jack's last game.  Jack loves having Daddy there to watch and support him.  And, of course, Papa would not miss Jack's last game for the world.  He is one of Jack's biggest fans!

Its been a hoot, little Brewers.  Thanks for all of the entertainment!!!

Afternoon at the Little Red School House

It seems like yesterday that my parents took us to the Little Red School House.  And now I am bringing my boys.  They say everything in life comes to a full circle  So, I guess today we experienced that:)

Jack and Mikey had a blast!  How can they not when they were with their best buds, Adeline and Harrison?!?! These cousins adore each other.  Man, do Adeline and Jack wind each other up, but they just have an absolute blast together.  I love that they are so close!  I hope it stays that way for a long, long time:)

Julie and I have been trying to get a "formal" photo of all four fun loving cousins for several months now.  Those in the post are a prime example of the best I am able to get.  I give up.  Better luck next year because it is just too hot now.  We may have to just blow one of these up for Granny and Papa for Christmas!

Here are some of my favorite shots from our fun afternoon taking in all of nature!

Chillin In the Pool

Seriously, I want this boy's life!!!!!! Just chillin' in the pool. I miss those days.

The Little Man's First Miniature Golf Experince

Jack is quite the little golfer these days.  The amount of times per day he asks me to please, please play golf and baseball with him is completely endless.  And actually, at only 3 and a half years old, he is pretty darn good at both golf and baseball.  I am not yet sure if he has a future in these sports, but one thing is for sure, he surely has fun.  And that is really all that is important!!!!

On another note, my boys have the best Granny and Papa in the whole wide world.  I truly do not thank them enough for being the very best parents and grandparents in the entire world.  Both of our boys are SO LUCKY and we are grateful for all that they do for us each and every day.  This evening, Granny and Papa insisted on watching Michael so Jay and I could have a date night with our "big and original" little man.  It is so easy to get caught up in the tasks of everyday life.  The boys surely keep us busy and although I am with them every day, they are growing up in front of my face.  It was great to be alone with JB tonight.  We had some really in depth conversations.  Honestly, Jay and I just enjoy Jack's company.  He is truly a neat kiddo!!!  Oh, and did I mention that he got a LEGITIMATE hole in one the very first time we took him miniature golfing!!!  I am not even kidding!!!  I do not know who was the happiest of the 3 of us!!  I am so glad the both Jay and I got to witness this exciting rite of passage!!!

Staycation- Chicago 2012

Seriously, why in the world do we need or even want to leave this amazing city that we live in?  Between work, camps, school, swim lessons, etc., etc., we are all busy people around here.  We so rarely get to the city so we decided to take a little staycation and go to Millennium Park and play in the water fountain.  And did I mention that we took a TRAIN to get downtown???  Jack has been DYING to go on a train ride...so this was long. long overdue.  And what is better than family time??  Absolutely nothing.

We need to take more time to do things together in this amazing city.  This was our first staycation and I see more in our future.  We have not even scratched the surface yet.  Who needs long car rides and or expensive plane tickets?  NO THANK YOU.  Who even needs Disney World?  Jack was convinced that the Metra ride was pretty magical!!  Gotta LOVE a 3 year old!  Chicago, you will always be my kind town:)
