This evening we celebrated the 2nd birthday of my very sweet little man! I know I always call him my "sweet little man," but if you know him well enough, you would know that a "sweet little man" is exactly what he is.....there are truly no better words to describe my little guy....
I think Jack had a lot of fun at his birthday party. By his numerous happy expressions clearly evident in the photos below, I think that is a fair assumption. I know I sure did. I had fun planning it as well. The theme this year was "planes, trains, and automobiles" since those seem to be the 3 things that Jack is most in love with at this given point in time. We could have also had a "moon" themed birthday party, but "planes, trains, and automobiles" was somewhat decided upon before we realized just how much Jack is infatuated with the moon! He tells me every night (and often throughout the days as well!), "I want moon." I guess my biggest goal in life is that I can provide just that for him.....the moon. Oh, and I guess the stars too. If I can just give my little man the moon and stars, then my life will certainly be complete!
We also sang Happy Birthday to Papa for his birthday after we sang to the guest of honor! He was very happy that everyone sang again...and even got to sit on Papa's lap! We also celebrated with a special treat for Papa that Jack "helped" Mommy to make...caramel apple cookies! Yum!!!
Thank you so much for our wonderful family members that attended Jack's 2nd birthday party! You certainly made the day special for him....and for that fact alone, I am grateful to you. We are also grateful for the wonderful and very generous presents. Our thank you cards have already been sent, but thanks again to Granny and Papa Harris for the basketball hoop and season pass to any Children's Museum in the country. We will certainly take advantage of that! Thanks to Aunt Julie, Uncle Ben, and Baby Adeline for the monetary gift, vintage photo frame for Jack's new big boy room, and "I'm Going to Be a Big Brother" book. Thanks to Aunt Katie and Uncle "Bibby" for the basketball set and first annual birthday sleepover! Jack had a blast with you! Thanks to Great Grandma and Grandpa Harris for the monetary gift as well as the airplane/car set. Thanks to the Randolph family for the monetary gift. Even though Great Grandma Wuebbels and Grandma and Papa Heidemann could not join us for Jack's party, we are very grateful for the monetary gift from Great Grandma Wuebbels and the 4 wheeler from Grandma and Grandpa Heidemann. For those of you that gave Jack a monetary gift, please know that we are either saving it for college (it is never too early to start, right!?!?!) OR for a special surprise for him. I am not going to give it away, but let's just say, it may involve Mickey ears! We really would like to get there in the next few years.....so thank you for helping us save!
Here are some photos from Jack's 2nd Birthday Party! I still can't believe he is 2!!! This has definitely been the best 2 years of our lives......we enjoy every moment with him. He is such a blessing! Happy Birthday, Jack Brennan! We are still working on getting the moon for you, but we will never give up trying.....
