EAR!!!!!

ok, I have been THE WORST about updating this blog lately. Somehow, it keeps moving further and further down on my priority list. It is a classic case of the age old story.....I have the best intentions of "staying on top of things," but there is just never enough time in the day. I have been spending every "free" moment I have trying to stand up a new website for my photography company as well as looking for a new job. So, needless to say, one of those tasks alone is a full time job! Ugh....ok, enough excuses.

Although it is October, one can easily be confused that it is still Aug. here in Chicago these days. The weathermen keep saying that cooler temps are on their way, but we have yet to see them.....consistently anyway. Anyhow, Jack had a dentist appointment this morning and MUCH TO MY SURPRISE, he was an absolute ANGEL! He sat on my lap during his cleaning and did not even cry at all. Considering he puts up a fuss most of the time I brush his teeth, I was just shocked at how well he behaved for the hygienist this morning! Because, he did SO WELL at his appointment, I felt compelled to reward him in some way for his amazing behavior. So, I promised him that we would do something fun after his nap. We decided to go to St. Xavier to look at and feed the ducks! Although the ducks were a little overwhelming and getting a little too close at times, I still think he had a good time! If not anything else, it was a beautiful day and he liked to just run around. Of course, Mommy brought her camera with the attempt to get some cute fall shots of my adorable little 2 year old. I was able to get some, but I am getting pretty big these days and just not as mobile as I need to be chasing a two year old while attempting to capture some cute shots. Oh well, it is what it is!!! I can't believe this baby will be here in 7 weeks!

Here are just SOME of the pictures I was able to take of my little man this afternoon during our play date with the "gucks." I will post more later. You will notice in the first photo, Jack is holding his ears. He was also saying very loudly "EARS." For those of you that are around him enough, you know he just loves ears.....his, mine, Dada's, Papa's, Adeline's, Ralph's...well, anyone's really! It is so funny. When I am laying with him trying to get him to sleep, I often feel his little hands holding onto my ears. I think it is a comfort thing for him. The weird thing is that my mom told me that I too was in love with ears at the age of two. So, apparently, I have passed that on to my little guy! Anyhow, it is really cute and I though this picture was too!
