Vacation to Sisters Lake, MI 2012

Ahh, vacation.  Who does not love it?!?!  Being around family, ice cream cones, blueberry cobblers, boat rides (morning, noon, and night!!!), Summer Shandy, jet skis, watching Chick and Lar on a jet ski together, teaching all little kiddos how to swim/jump in the lake, outlet malls, antique stores, golfing, attempting to capture the perfect annual cousin matching outfit photo (which has a 100% failure rate!),  peach fests, blueberry fests, gigantic squirt guns, COUSIN TIME, and best of all, Harrision waking up the entire house at 5:00AM EVERY SINGLE MORNING....ok, well the majority of that is true anyway!!!  HA!

Seriously though, I can talk about vacation forever.  Actually so can Jack.  I think it has come to hold a special place in all of our hearts.  Jack talks about it AT LEAST six months in advance and he is already talking about next year.....so, I think we are moving towards a year round ongoing vacation conversation.  I am still hearing almost daily how much he misses vacation.  And all I can say is, "I know Babe, we all do."

What this all boils down to is tradition and memories....and for that we have to thank 2 of the GREATEST people in the world, Granny and Papa.  Their extreme generosity taking us all on vacation every year is beyond appreciated.  They give up so much for us and are truly the best parents/grandparents in the entire world! Their generosity coupled with the love they have for our family makes this entire trip possible.  There are not many kids out there that are loved this much.  Our family is among the blessed ones....and there is not a day that goes that I ever forget that.

So I end with this post with this quote:

When you look at your life, the greatest happinesses are family happinesses.

Thanks for another year of fantastic memories, Granny and Papa.  You are the best!!!!
