4th of July Baseball Photo Shoot

This 4th of July weekend, many of us have the opportunity to enjoy a nice long 3 day weekend to celebrate the holiday. Fortunately, 2 of the 3 days were absolutely beautiful here in Chicago. Jack and I had the opportunity to spend a lot of time outdoors going to the park, going for walks, and weeding the garden. The weeds were so long I could not tell if some of them were actually weeds or vegetable plants! Anyhow, we successfully made a lot of headway and seemed to pull most of them out! The garden is really looking good this year. Everything is growing nicely even though we have almost had too much rain the last month.

Anyhow, on Sunday morning while we were at the park, we walked past the baseball fields and I had the idea of using the field as the background for a baseball themed photo shoot. My little man was oh so cute and very cooperative during the wardrobe change from the Cards to Sox gear. He absolutely LOVED the props and all was going well until he started to eat them!

Here are some of my favorites from our baseball themed photo shoot last weekend.

Cute as a button!

Sliding into home base.....my little man is SAFE again!!!

"And yes folks, SAFE for a third time!! Jeez, this little guy is good!! Lookout Pujols, it looks like you might have some competition!""

"Ummm Mom, these baseball props are pretty cool! I really like to play with them!"

Time for a wardrobe Change....from a Cards fan to a White Sox fan.....

Still looking as cute a button going from red to black!

My man's stylin' shoes to accent the White Sox apparal....

All was going well during the shoot until Jack started to eat the props....

Then things began to go downhill....

And yes, the photo shoot is now over....we had to call it a day! Until next time, that is!
