Fun Summer Vacation in Sister's Lake, MI!

Wow, what a week we have had! Lakehouse, ice cream cones, boat rides, bike rides, LOTS of food, and most of all spending time with some of the people we love the most.....I just don't think it gets much better than that!!! We are just returning from a 9 day vacation at Magician Lake, one of the lakes in the Sister's Lake area in MI. We had so much fun and got to spend some quality time family. First off, the house that Granny and Papa rented was simply gorgeous! It was far from your typical lakehouse or cottage, this house was huge and definitely a home. I think everyone's favorite part about the house was the huge deck, dock, and pontoon and fishing boats that Granny and Papa rented for the week as well. We went for so many boat rides.....and ahh, is there anything more relaxing?!?! My little man just loved being Papa's skipper. He woke up every morning and was quick to let me know his intentions for the day....."I want ride!" He didn't care if that was a boat ride or a bike ride on Papa's bike. And every morning, this little guy was lucky enough to get a get a bike ride AND multiple rides on the boat throughout the day. Ahhh, to be 22 months old and oh so carefree!!!!

Anyhow, it is weeks like this past one that truly remind me of how lucky I am.....as a wife, mother, daughter, and sister. I have the best family ever and there is not a day that goes by that I forget that. We had so much fun this past week.....and the best part about it for me was that I realized that I have a little boy that is loved by so many family members.....even ones that are not "officially" part of the family yet (but close, if they ever set a wedding date!) You know who I am talking about.....yes you, Uncle "Bibby!" Jack adores you too and had a blast playing with you so much.

We want to say a very SPECIAL thank you to Granny and Papa for taking us all on vacation. This amazing 9 day vacation would have never been possible without your extreme generosity. It was so nice of you and we are so very grateful. Jack will forever cherish these precious family memories (especially his very first time on a boat!!!) as much as Jay and I do.

Here are just some of the shots I took from our Michigan (or as the commercial says, PURE Michigan! HA!) vacation. There is a smile on my face as I post each and every one of them because I know I will never forget these great summer memories. We are already looking forward to doing it all again next year!!!!
