We want to give a special thanks to Peggy and Larry Schultz for inviting us on their family vacation. It was so very nice of you to include Jack and I while Daddy was away on a business trip. Although, it was literally a million degrees outside AND the fact we accidentally took the back roads of MO from STL to get there, we still managed to have a really good time! We always enjoy a pool and Jack also really liked playing at the park and then going to the marina to feed all of the "gucks." Hopefully, the "gucks" actually got some of the food and the hundreds of carp did not steal it all. We tried the best we can to feed the "gucks" and not the carp. Jack cleared me out of quarters to buy as much food for the "gucks" as possible since he loved feeding them so much! Thanks to the Schultz's also for the pizza, AWESOME frozen custard from Randy's, and adorable train set that spells Jack's name. It is just darling and so sweet of you to think of him. He certainly loves his "choo choos" or as he pronounces it "shoe shoes." We are very appreciative of all your generosity. I cannot stop thinking about that turtle sundae from Randy's.....if only it were not 8 hours away, I would hop in the car right now to get one!!!
On our way to and from the Lake, we stopped at Grandma and "Papa" (as Jack said it) Heidemann's house. It was so very nice to see them. Jack misses them so much. Grandma and Grandpa were surprised to see just how big Jack has grown since the last time they had seen him. They both thought he was getting so tall. He has to go the doctor's when he turns two in about a month....and I am anxious to see where he falls on the charts. I am afraid he is getting too skinny so we will have to see what the doc says about my skinnny mini picky eater! Jack especially liked playing catch with "Papa Heidemann." He really liked throwing the ball to him over and over again. We want to say a special thank you to Grandma and Grandpa Heidemann for the trip to Red Robin, rides on the carousel and ice cream!!! We had so much fun with you and simply cannot wait to see you again in a few weeks during your trip to Chicago!
Here are some pictures from our Lake of the Ozarks/St. Louis trip this week. We had so much fun, but I have to admit that I am very excited to get back into a routine. I told Jay that I am not leaving our zip code for a long while after these awesome back to back vacations!
