It probably was not the best idea to take Jack for his 15 month doctor's appointment directly before seeing Santa. He had to get 3 shots....so predictably, that did not set a wonderful tone before meeting the big man in red. You live and learn, I guess....I will definitely think this through better next year! Anyhow, Jack actually did better than we thought he would. He certainly was a little unsure of Santa, but never really got too upset....just whined a little instead. Again, I am sure the shots he received about an hour before the picture did not help the situation. But, we got our 2009 pictures with Santa and had a fun filled family night...so, I am very happy.
After sitting on Santa's lap, Jack and Mommy rode the Kiddie train around the winter wonderland at Orland mall. Jack absolutely LOVED the Choo Choo Express! He had a blast and I loved seeing him so happy. After all seeing him happy is my absolute FAVORITE thing in the entire world!! After riding the train, we ended the day by eating at Red Robin where Jack was enamored with the balloon he received from the waitress. So after the traumatic experiences of 3 shots followed by having to sit of Santa's lap for an ENTIRE 3 minutes (at most!), we are happy to report that the day ended on a positive note with the Choo Choo ride and the trip to Red Robin!
Jack was happy and Mommy got her picture of her Little Man with the Big Man wearing red! All is well!
Here are some of the shots Granny took while Jack was sitting on Santa's lap. Hopefully, I can scan the "official" professional picture that we purchased later. Merry Christmas!

Some shots in the Kiddie train called the Choo Choo Express!!! Jack did not want to get off when the ride was over!!

WEEEEE!!!

Jack was NOT happy that the Choo Choo ride was over:(

Jack LOVING the balloon at Red Robin! Taking all things into account, it was still a great day!
